Ben Gurion is about 20 km south-east of Tel Aviv and sits between Lod and Ramla. All international flights arrive at Terminal 3, and a pre-arranged driver waits in the Greeters Hall on its ground floor.

Arriving at Ben Gurion
All international flights arrive at Terminal 3. Even if your flight left Israel from Terminal 1, it lands at 3.
Arriving passengers come out into the Greeters Hall on the ground floor of Terminal 3. That is where a pre-arranged driver waits, and where you should look for them.
The official taxi rank is outside Gate 03 on the ground floor and is run by Gett, with self-service kiosks. You cannot call an outside vehicle to the kerb — which is exactly why a pre-booked transfer meets you inside instead.
When the train is the better answer
Israel Railways runs from the station under Terminal 3 to Tel Aviv in roughly 11 to 20 minutes, stopping at HaHagana, HaShalom, Savidor and Tel Aviv University. It is cheaper than any taxi and, in heavy traffic, often quicker.
- Terminals — Terminal 1 handles low-cost and charter carriers plus domestic flights. It was closed during June 2026 and reopened for domestic traffic on 28 June 2026 and for international traffic on 1 July 2026, so if your airline uses it, confirm the terminal before you travel.
- The train is not the answer for every destination, though. Herzliya has its own station on the coastal line, but Lod and Ramla — the two towns the airport sits between — are not direct stops on the airport line: you change.
- Trains and most buses stop from Friday afternoon until Saturday nightfall. Taxis keep running through Shabbat.
