Guides for the part before the ride

Most bad taxi experiences are decided before the car arrives — the wrong hour, the wrong vehicle, the wrong meeting point. These pages are about getting those three right.

Start with the clock

The single most useful guide is the early-morning one, because that is where public transport stops helping and where an unbooked ride becomes a real problem. After that, luggage: it decides the vehicle.

Then the places

Hotel entrances, train stations, markets, the beachfront and the port, the museums: each of those has a pickup detail worth knowing — a side street, a barrier, a bus lane, a gate that closes.

All of it points the same way

Every guide ends at the same place: send the address, the hour, the passengers and the cases, and get the plan and the fare back before you travel.
