Hotel pickups, done properly

A hotel name is not an address. Cars cannot always reach the front door, and the difference is a five-minute walk with three cases at seven in the morning.

What to send

The hotel name and the street it is on, the guest name the booking is under, and the hour you want to leave. If the hotel has a driveway or a side street with vehicle access, that is the most useful line in the whole message.

Why the name alone fails

Several streets in the city centre are narrow, one-way or closed to through traffic, and a few beachfront addresses are reached from a service road rather than the promenade. Knowing this in advance is the difference between a calm departure and a phone call from a corner.

Arriving at a hotel

The same works in reverse: a Terminal 3 pickup and a drop-off at the lobby door, with the fare agreed at the start. If the room is not ready until the afternoon, say so — a stop somewhere first is part of the plan.

Questions

Do you meet guests in the lobby?

Yes, if that is agreed. Send the guest name and the hour; the driver comes to the lobby rather than waiting outside and hoping.

Can you pick up from an apartment?

Yes. Send the street, the number, the floor and any gate or code detail the driver will need to reach the door.
